This is the most stunning retro citrine and diamond piece, likely from the mid 20th century.
I am writing this in the depths of autumn, when the leaves have turned golden brown and are gently falling. I can’t help but feel this is the perfect gemstone for this time of year, when all you want to do is cosy up by a fire. The colour of the citrine is delicious - like bitter marmalade. It has been designed in a rectangular cut which shows off that burnt orange hue to its maximum potential.
A total of 14 diamonds frame the citrine which are held securely in a platinum setting. These provide a delightful twinkle to the piece and contrast beautifully with the fiery gemstone. Although I believe this piece to be made circa 1940-50, she undoubtably has a classic Art Deco feel to her design.
The band is made from 18ct gold and is simple in design, with a couple of engraved grooves at the shoulders to add a bit of a detail.

Condition
Very good condition. The clarity of the citrine is beautiful, with minimal inclusions and it has been well kept with no external wear. There is a normal amount of surface level wear to the band which you would expect to see on a vintage piece.
