  • While we’d love to say hi, we’re a fully online business and sell exclusively online – so we’re not available for in-person visits. If you’d like advice or more info on our pieces, though, we’re always happy to help! Drop us a line on info@ahlq.co.uk, and we’ll aim to get back to you within a few hours.

  • Some pieces are, but not every one. That’s because hallmarks didn’t become a legal requirement until 1973, when the Hallmarking Act was introduced. So we test and verify the jewellery we stock ourselves; have a look at our page on hallmarking for more on how we ensure your preloved piece is authentic.

  • Our founder Imogen handpicks and examines every AHLQ piece herself. A skilled gemmologist, she’s accredited by the prestigious and internationally recognised Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

    We put AHLQ pieces through a careful testing process before they’re listed, so you can shop with confidence. Imogen personally examines each piece, checking the stones and – when there isn’t a hallmark – testing precious metals for purity. We assess and note condition in detail as well, so you have a clear picture of exactly what you’re buying.

  • We do indeed! Buying the perfect piece can be an investment, so you can spread the cost of your purchase if that’s helpful. Get in touch with us at info@ahlq.co.uk for more on how this works.

  • Ordering from the UK?
    Your jewellery will be sent out to you completely free of charge, fully tracked and insured via Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. Once it’s been dispatched, you can expect your order to arrive with you the next day – usually before 1pm.

    Ordering internationally?
    If you’re ordering from outside the UK, we’ve got you covered: we ship our jewellery worldwide. Deliveries are nice and speedy; they take around two to three days to reach the USA, for example. International packages are sent fully tracked and insured via DHL Express, and are charged at £25 per order.

  • If your new jewellery isn’t quite right for you, we totally understand. Choosing the perfect preloved piece for you, or for a loved one, is a very personal decision. You’re welcome to send it back to us within 14 days to request a refund. Check out our returns page for more on this.

  • Absolutely! We pride ourselves on careful packing so your jewels arrive safe, sound and sparkling. Our packaging is made from responsibly recycled materials, too; the boxes, filling, envelopes and even the tape we use are plastic-free.
