I wasn’t sure of the age of this ring when I bought her, but as soon as I opened up the box I knew I had something special as the gold has that delicious dark tone which you generally only find in old jewellery.

Hallmarked for the year 1921, this amethyst dress ring has really got something special about her. I think it might be the tone of the amethyst - a super dreamy pale lilac, which furiously glimmers gorgeous purple light right back at you. The stone is sizeable, with excellent clarity and mixed cut.

It is held up securely in an elegant prong setting, the metal is crafted entirely from solid 9ct gold which has taken on a rose tinted hue, complimenting the purple gemstone just perfectly.

Very good condition. The amethyst is super bright, with no visible inclusions and no wear to the surface. The gold has softened in colour over the years and there is evidence of a resize to the back of the band.
