Like smoke rising from a bonfire, for me smoky quartz is the perfect autumnal jewel. With an unusual brownish grey hue, this gemstone is said to have powerful grounding properties. 

This is a lovely example, made in the mid 1990s, with a large oval cut stone which is in superb condition. 

The jewel is secured into a prong setting and surrounded by a pretty lattice frame, all made entirely from 9ct gold. She comes fully hallmarked, with minimal wear. The perfect  ring to wear curled up by a roaring fire with a good book.

Condition

Very good condition. The stone is absolutely gleaming! Free for any external wear with no inclusions. There is just a tiny patch of patina to the back of the gold band.
