Erin | Vintage 18ct Gold Emerald & Diamond Cluster Ring
Sometimes I do a little yelp of excitement when something lands on my desk, this vintage cluster ring was one of those occasions.
An oval cut emerald sits at her centre, the cool spearmint green colour almost takes my breath away. I took great pleasure in examining the stunning inclusions which are peppered within the stone, a feature you would expect to see in emeralds.
Surrounding the verdant gem, are approximately 0.40ct of brilliant cut diamonds. I cannot begin to describe the blinding sparkly light these are casting out, they are set at slightly different levels to each other which is making the sparkle even more fierce.
Likely from the mid 20th century, she has been well loved in a previous life, so much so that her hallmark has worn slightly. I have tested the metal as 18ct gold, which is still really bright and has a lovely amount of wear, giving the piece that gorgeous vintage look.

Condition
Very good condition. That gemstone cluster packs a real punch! The diamonds are secure, sparkling and free from nibbles or chips. There is a small amount of wear and softening on the facet edges of the emerald, which I would expect to see on something this age. The hallmark is partially visible but has worn over the years, the gold is still beautifully bright with the usual marks you would expect to see.
