This is a stunning vintage example of a classic diamond solitaire ring, what many regard as the iconic engagement ring. Although I do love the more unusual styles, I have to admit that I’d be pretty pleased if my partner had presented me with this absolute rock. 

Hallmarked for the year 1986, the ring is still in gorgeous condition, with a gleaming 18ct gold band which has very little wear. I love the dramatic high shoulders and cut out detail which leads up to that sparkling stone. 

The brilliant cut diamond is exquisite! Weighing approx. 0.45ct, expect to be blinded when this big beauty hits natural light. The bright white tone gives off a stunning icy sparkle. She most definitely has the wow-factor, if that is what you’re after.

Condition

Very good condition. I’m impressed with the condition of this ring, the gold has been recently polished and has a wonderful shine. The diamond delivers that instant wow-factor that you want from a stone, and is set securely in a prong setting. If examined under magnification, there are some typical inclusions and one tiny nibble to the surface, none of which are noticeable when worn.
