There is nothing dainty about this chunky vintage onyx ring, complete with a thick 9ct gold band. I think this may well have been a man’s signet ring in a previous life, but would look fab worn on an index finger with some other chunky bands. 

The jet black cushion shaped onyx is such a deliciously dark gemstone. This one is peppered with wear which I think suits its macho appearance and gives it a true vintage look. 

It’s a substantial piece of jewellery, weighing 6g, and feels completely luxurious when on. The fat solid 9ct gold band perfectly contrasts the onyx. I only wish he was my size!

Condition

Fair condition. This ring has been well loved in a previous life and has some scars to prove it, the whole piece is etched with scuffs and signs of wear which I happen to love. These marks are a beautiful thing to see on a vintage ring in my opinion, they add such character and charm.
