Okay WOW, this is one of those rings that I just can’t stop staring at. It’s a good job she isn’t my size or I may be in trouble. 

A sensational antique five stone piece, likely from the Art Deco era. The alternating gemstones are utterly divine, with a large cushion cut, cobalt blue sapphire kicking things off in the centre, weighing approx. 1.06ct. The European old cut diamonds are equally impressive, weighing approx. 0.46ct and blinding us with sparkling light at every turn. 

The stones are set into a platinum prong setting, over a luxurious 18ct gold band which is still bright and shiny. This would make a fairly serious engagement or eternity ring if you want to leave your partner gobsmacked.

Hallmarks

Unmarked. Tested as 18ct gold with platinum settings.

Condition

Good condition. This ring still looks knockout considering the age. The diamonds are free from any nibbles or chips with no visible inclusions to the naked eye - they are breathtaking! There is some very minor abrasion to some facets of the sapphires (they are softer stones than diamond, so I would expect to see this on an antique piece). One prong is partially snapped on the central sapphire, which you can see in images, the stone remains secure with all others in tact.
