I am writing this at the very start of the new year, and this incredible antique ring is certainly helping to soothe my January blues!

This is a stunning Edwardian piece, set with a sizeable topaz gemstone (approx 1.48ct). Hallmarked for the year 1901, she is 125 years old but still in impressive antique condition.

The pale golden yellow colour of the stone is utterly gorgeous, like morning light on a cold winter’s morning. I initially thought it was citrine before testing it, I’ve not had a topaz in this colour before - what a treat!

The thick band is crafted from 18ct gold and is pure luxury, it forms a half bezel setting which encases that stone only enhancing its golden colour.

Condition

Very good condition. This piece has been really well looked after, the band is still lovely and bright with a normal amount of wear in keeping with age. The stone is of a beautiful clarity, with some very minor wear to the surface.
