What a beautiful amethyst ring this is, made in the early 1970s, she is still in fabulous condition. 

A large oval cut stone sits centrally on the ring, which is the most gorgeous shade of deep velvety purple. It is sat in a 9ct gold bezel setting, which is layered with ornate rope detail, providing the perfect royal frame for the striking amethyst. 

The band is simple, crafted entirely from 9ct gold, which splits at shoulders adding a lovely cut out detail to the piece. This would make a fabulous vintage ring for anyone with an amethyst birthstone.

Condition

Very good condition. Overall this ring still looks great considering she is over 50 years old! There is a tiny scratch to the surface of the stone, and a few marks to the gold.
