Made in the late 1970s, this classic illusion set diamond solitaire ring is a winner. 

Crafted from solid 9ct gold, the band is a simple design and the same width the entire way round. The diamond is held up high in an illusion setting, which means it is sat flush against the textured gold, giving the illusion of a bigger stone. 

What I love about this style is that they are not too in your face with glitz, they are understated by design and perfect for someone who doesn’t want a massive stone. This one has a lovely vintage look and feel too, the gold has darkened slightly but that stone is still in mint condition.
