This is a beautiful example, likely from the early 20th century. Crafted from 9ct gold, which is peppered with wear and has turned that beautiful ‘old gold’ colour which you just can’t find in new jewellery. 

Two strands of gold start together at the band, then split at the shoulders and interlace beautifully, creating that iconic knot which sits on the finger. It is such a wearable piece, which will only continue to get better with age.

Condition

Fair condition. The gold has aged beautifully and has the usual scuffs and marks you would expect to see on an antique piece. There are two hollow settings which may once have held stones, but I think they still look quite lovely with the design. Evidence of resize to the back of the band.
